Welcome to the 2014-15 Race Season
Greetings FSC Families,
On behalf of Dave Fitzgerald, President of Franconia Ski Club and myself, Richard Smith, Program Director, Welcome to the 2014-2015 ski season.
FSC has a great program that we can be very proud of. From our youngest U8s right up through the Masters Program, FSC is top notch. As we enter into our 81st season as a ski club, older then the ski area itself, we continue to forge forward with incredible families, hard working athletes, top shelf staff and a mountain that creates World Champions. We hope you enjoy the time spent here on both the athletic and social sides. Ski racing is a sport that lasts a lifetime: the friendships that are built, the life lessons learned, the daily fun factor, and self discovery are benefits that will stay with you and your children forever.
Over the years we have built a great partnership with our mountain host Cannon. We have the best terrain in New England to call home. Whether you’re a U8 or a visiting grandparent, FSC/Cannon is a great place to spend your days!
As Program Director I will continue to work hard with our coaches to challenge your children. We will work as a staff to broaden our knowledge of the sport so your children can be the best that they choose to be. For the parents, we will offer that same philosophy both on and off the hill.
Registration dates are upon us, so please keep in mind the following: Family Membership and Training Registration for returning families opens July 7.
Keep in mind that existing members will have their training spots “reserved” (including incoming siblings not previously registered) but are required to register by August 15th to protect those spots. Any available training spots will be offered to new families starting August 16th.
If you have any registration questions, please contact Liz Potter, FSC Membership Chair, at email@example.com.
Please know that David Fitzgerald and I are always open for any questions or concerns you may have as a member of FSC. Let’s hope for cold weather, deep snow, sunny days and the beginning of another great season of memories for you to enjoy for a lifetime.
Rich Smith, Program Director
