FSC To Raffle 2012 Jeep Wrangler To Support Community Outreach Programs
In 1933, a man by the name of Roland Peabody formed the Franconia Ski Club to provide ski recreation and training to local school children. Roland spent his life bringing the sport into other people’s lives, and that spirit continues to flourish through the group efforts of our members. Since 1933, “The mission of the Franconia Ski Club is to impart the joys of skiing and the life-long lessons of healthy competition to the children of its broad and open membership.” In the spirit of our mission and to continue the legacy of our fore fathers, we ask for your help. Last year’s raffle, we successfully sold over 470 raffle tickets and raised over $17,000 for the club. This allowed us the resources toward renovations at Ernie’s as well as some of the initial steps towards an expanded training venue at Mittersill. This year’s raffle will help seed an endowment for our scholarship programs that we have had in place for nearly 80 years and foster our community outreach. This year, we are again raffling a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a Thule Rack, valued at over $31,000. We are limiting ticket sales at 600, so the odds of winning one of three prizes are excellent. We need the entire FSC membership to come on board and support this effort. We are asking each FSC family to sell 5 raffle tickets ($100 ea.). Every family will be allocated five numbered tickets and some promotional flyers, copy attached. The Raffle drawing will be held at Cannonball Pub at Cannon Mountain, Franconia NH on Sunday, March 18th, 2012 in the early evening following the Pendoley Open Slalom Race. Winners do not have to be present at the drawing to win. We can accept cash, check or credit cards, payable to Franconia Ski Club. All the rules for the raffle are on the back of each ticket and flyer. This year, we also have the ability to process credit card purchases on your smartphone, ipod or tablet through a partnership with www.gopayment.com. If you would like to be able to process credit card payments from your Smart Phone or tablet, you can contact Kent Fitzpatrick or Rob Wilson at raffle@franconiaskiclub.com and request a link for the app and password. Tickets must be fully completed and legible, top copy goes to the buyer, yellow copy is retained for our records. So we can track our progress, please turn in ticket receipts (with checks/cash) to Kent Fitzpatrick, Rob Wilson, Melissa Hanson, Annie Lennon or Tina Virgin.
